Set up budgets that follow your pay

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly budgets, lined up with the day your pay arrives.

Updated · 2 min read

Most budgeting apps assume you're paid on the first of the month. Plenty of people aren't. Worthberry lets each budget reset weekly, every pay fortnight, or monthly.

1. Tell it when you're paid

If you're paid fortnightly, open Settings and enter A recent payday. Fortnightly budgets then reset on that day every two weeks, in step with your pay.

2. Set a budget

  1. Open Budgets and choose Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly.
  2. Press New budget, pick a category and set a limit.
  3. Not sure where to start? Under Other spending, Worthberry lists categories you've spent on without a budget. Press Set budget next to one and it suggests a limit from what you've spent.

3. Keep an eye on it

  • Each budget shows how much you've spent and how much is left, and the bar changes colour once you've used 80% of it.
  • Add the Budgets visual to your dashboard to see them without opening the page.

Mix and match: groceries and petrol often suit a weekly budget, eating out a fortnightly one, and things like clothes a monthly one.
