Where Worthberry is going

We're live in New Zealand, and bringing Worthberry to more countries one at a time. Australia is next, then the United Kingdom.

One country at a time

Money works differently everywhere. The banks are different, retirement savings have their own rules and names, and even how often people get paid changes how a budget should work. A money app that treats every country the same ends up fitting none of them, so we launch a country only when Worthberry works properly there.

Before we open in a new country, it needs:

  • Bank connections we've tested. Read-only access to local banks through that country's open banking system and a regulated partner.
  • Local money, done properly. The country's retirement savings, accounts and pay cycles, in the words people there actually use.
  • Plans in your currency. Each country gets its own plans and prices. Depending on your country, the prices will be different.
  • Your privacy rights, built in. We follow the privacy law where you live, and we never sell your data.

Waitlist sign-ups help us decide what to build first in each country, and where to go after the UK.

Australia

Australia is the next country on our list, and it's a natural one: a lot of what we built for New Zealand carries straight across, from fortnightly pay to a home and its mortgage being part of the picture.

What we're building for Australia

  • Australian banks. Read-only connections through the Consumer Data Right, Australia's open banking system, so you choose exactly what to share and can stop at any time.
  • Your super, front and centre. Superannuation is often one of the biggest things people own, so it sits right next to your accounts, investments and property.
  • Budgets that follow your pay. Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, with budgets that reset on payday.
  • Prices in Australian dollars. Australian plans, set for Australia.
  • Data close to home. Worthberry already stores its data in Sydney, under Australian privacy law.

Coming soon · after Australia

United Kingdom

The UK follows Australia. It has one of the world's most established open banking systems, and a lot of people's money is spread across current accounts, savings, ISAs and pensions from past jobs, which is exactly the problem Worthberry solves.

What we're building for the UK

  • UK banks through Open Banking. Read-only connections through an FCA-authorised partner, with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Pensions and ISAs in one view. Workplace pensions, personal pensions and your ISAs, next to your current account, savings and mortgage.
  • Budgets for monthly pay. Most people in the UK are paid monthly, so budgets will reset on your payday, whenever it falls.
  • Prices in pounds. UK plans, set for the UK.
  • UK privacy rights. Your data handled under UK GDPR, with the rights it gives you.
